…almost june

I really can not believe it is almost JUNE!  We have had one busy May for sure!

I have an awesome family who drove 4 hours to stay at our house with Elijah while Rushing and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary! We decided that we wanted to do something close by (can we say gas prices?).  We stayed in the Hyatt at The Renaissance in Madison.  We had a very relaxing weekend.  We watched alot of TV and ate a lot of yummy food!  We tried to sleep in but after 7 months of waking by 6 am…that didn’t happen! We had a wonderful time but we missed our little guy!

We returned home on Sunday morning and were able to spend the day with my family for Mother’s Day!  I am so glad we were all able to be together!  I miss my family so much and it is a blessing when we can visit!  I know they enjoyed seeing Elijah! 🙂

Elijah turned 7 months old on the 11th!!  SEVEN stinking months!  He is such a big boy now!
Highlights:
Weight: 19.6lbs
Height: 28 inches
Eating: Breastmilk
Homemade: Avocado,Apples,Pears,Banana,Squash,Green Beans,Green              Peas,Carrots, and Sweet Potato
He also loves Peach Yogurt Melts and Puffs
Sleeping: Elijah typically goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 every night.  Lately he has been waking up around 1am…pretty sure he is teething!
Playing: He loves to sit up on his own and play with all kinds of toys!  He has a bright colored stuffed caterpillar he loves to chew on 🙂 He has definitely started trying to crawl and is actually already pulling up on things!  He gets really excited when he pulls up on his crib rail, he laughs so hard!

We have gone to the city park a few times and Elijah loves it!  He hates his infant swing at home but he LOVES swinging in the ‘big boy’ swing at the park!

Summer is officially upon the Mayes household with camps, VBS, more camps, mission trips, and lots of working.  We love being in the ministry and are so excited to see what God has in store for our students this summer!
